Alessandro Pajola has said goodbye to Virtus Bologna with a long message posted on Instagram. The Italian guard addressed the past few weeks, rejecting the reports about him and stressing his desire to move forward \u201cwith head held high and a clear conscience.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pajola thanked the fans, coaches, medical staff, teammates and the Zanetti family, while also remembering Alberto Bucci: \u201cHe believed in me from the first day he saw me and taught me to put Virtus\u2019 good before my own personal good.\u201d<\/p>\n

His final words were the most emotional: \u201cIn Bologna I built much more than a sports career: I built a fundamental part of my life, as a man before being an athlete.\u201d He closed the post with: \u201cI love you. Pajo.\u201d<\/p>\n
