The Umana Reyer Venezia is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Sir’Jabari Prince Rice, who will be part of the Orogranata roster for the upcoming sports season. A 193 cm guard born in Houston (Texas) on December 28, 1998, Rice is a modern backcourt player, equipped with outstanding scoring instincts, athleticism, and the ability to create opportunities both for himself and for his teammates.

Rice developed at the collegiate level, first at New Mexico State University, where from 2018 to 2022 he became the team’s leader, guiding the Aggies to multiple WAC Regular Season and Tournament titles while earning All-WAC First Team honors in 2020.

In 2022, he transferred to the prestigious Texas Longhorns in the Big 12 Conference. His senior season was outstanding: he won the Big 12 Tournament title, was named the Conference’s Sixth Man of the Year, and helped Texas reach the NCAA Elite Eight, averaging 13 points per game while shooting 36.8% from three-point range. Following the NCAA season, he capped off the year by being named MVP of the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.

In the summer of 2023, he attracted NBA attention by signing a contract with the San Antonio Spurs, making his debut in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, where he averaged 12 points and 3.5 assists per game. He spent most of the season with the Austin Spurs in the NBA G League, averaging 9.7 points per game, before establishing himself the following year as one of the league’s elite scorers with the Sioux Falls Skyforce and, above all, the South Bay Lakers, posting 13.5 points per game while shooting 41.5% from beyond the arc.

Rice’s overseas career began last season (2025/26). He started the year in the Czech Republic with ERA Basketball Nymburk, playing a key role in the club’s impressive Basketball Champions League campaign, which ended in the quarterfinals. In FIBA’s premier club competition, Rice posted outstanding numbers, averaging 18.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game while shooting 42% from three-point range. His performances earned him a place on the Czech League First Team.

In March 2026, he made the leap to one of Europe’s most competitive leagues, Spain’s Liga Endesa, signing with MoraBanc Andorra. In 14 games played during the final stretch of the season, Rice immediately made his mark on the perimeter, averaging 13.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game, confirming both his technical maturity and his ability to adapt immediately at the highest level of European basketball.
