LDLC ASVEL is opening a new chapter in its history by announcing the appointment of Tony Parker as Head Coach of the professional team.

More than a new role, this decision marks the beginning of a major milestone in the four-time NBA champion’s career and serves as the founding act of a project aimed at redefining the club’s ambitions on the European stage.

This appointment represents the first cornerstone of a major development project designed to take LDLC ASVEL into a new era. The objective is clear and ambitious: to build, starting today, a club capable of competing with Europe’s biggest organizations tomorrow and establishing itself as one of the continent’s basketball benchmarks.

In an environment where sporting, economic and structural demands continue to grow, LDLC ASVEL has chosen transformation, with the goal of accelerating its development on every level: sporting success, player development, attractiveness and performance.

Tony Parker: “I feel tremendous pride in taking on this responsibility within this legendary club. Being back on the court every day, feeling the adrenaline of games again and helping a group progress are challenges that deeply motivate me. My passion for the game remains as strong as ever and, together with my entire staff, we will work tirelessly to establish a winning culture in every aspect as we build an ambitious future. This is the beginning of a new story, the first cornerstone of a major development project that we want to build over the long term. This new momentum must be established sustainably to allow us to proudly represent Villeurbanne, Lyon and French basketball.”
