French center Bastien Vautier (Noisy-le-Grand, 27 years old, 2.10m) has officially signed with Surne Bilbao Basket. Last season with ASVEL Villeurbanne, he averaged 8.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in the French Betclic Elite. In the EuroLeague, he posted 5.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per game, earning Round 18 MVP honors after scoring 28 points against Anadolu Efes and finishing with a performance index rating of 31. Vautier has also been selected twice for the French League All-Star Game and was named to the Betclic Elite First Team in the 2023\/24 season. He has signed a one-year contract.<\/p>\n
Before making the jump to the EuroLeague, Vautier played for Cholet, where he averaged 11.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. During that period, he faced Surne Bilbao Basket twice in the FIBA Europe Cup, recording 16 points and 10 rebounds in his debut at Miribilla Arena.<\/p>\n
Earlier in his career, he made his French top-flight debut with ESSM Le Portel, where he emerged as one of the league’s top centers by averaging 14.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and an efficiency rating of 18.1, earning a place in the Betclic Elite First Team.<\/p>\n
