On owning a club in Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cOwning a team in Europe is something I\u2019ve always dreamed of: I grew up playing European basketball, and that\u2019s what shaped me. When Donnie Nelson presented me with this opportunity, I said yes right away. It felt like the right choice and an extraordinary way to help grow this sport.\u201d<\/p>\n On the name Basketball Club Roma SPQR and the ideas of Mannion and Tonut<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI know there\u2019s curiosity about the names, but there are many things in the works and I don\u2019t want to give anything away. There\u2019s one thing I\u2019d like to say: I can promise the people of Rome that they\u2019ll be thrilled with what we have planned. In everything I do, I want to win: that\u2019s always my goal, and it will be the same in Rome.\u201d<\/p>\n On NBA Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m happy that the NBA wants to come to Europe. At the same time, I love the EuroLeague: I\u2019ve seen it and played in it. There\u2019s something special about the fan culture in Europe. I hope the two leagues can find a way to collaborate.\u201d<\/p>\n On the EuroCup<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThere are some very strong teams. For a club making its debut, this is exactly the kind of challenge we want.\u201d<\/p>\n On the second team in Rome<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s rivalries that make sports great.
