The two-time NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets has opted into the final year of his deal.<\/p>\n<p>Caldwell-Pope, 33, is coming off a season affected by surgery on his right pinkie finger, which forced him to miss the final 31 games. In 51 appearances with Memphis, he averaged <strong>8.4 points<\/strong>, <strong>2.7 assists<\/strong> and <strong>2.5 rebounds<\/strong> in 21.3 minutes per game.<\/p>\n<p>The option marks the final season of his three-year, $66 million contract. Caldwell-Pope joined the Grizzlies from the Orlando Magic last summer as part of the Desmond Bane trade.
