Paris Basketball’s rise continues both on and off the court. After securing a third consecutive Betclic ÉLITE Finals berth with a road victory over Cholet, the French club is now seeing one of its key figures attract attention from the NBA.

According to BeBasket, head coach Julius Thomas has emerged as a candidate for several NBA organizations looking to strengthen their coaching staffs ahead of next season.

Thomas took over as Paris Basketball’s head coach at the end of March following the departure of Francesco Tabellini. The German coach had joined the club in 2023 alongside Tuomas Iisalo and has played an important role in maintaining the team’s competitive identity during a period of continued success.

While no formal agreement has been reported, multiple NBA franchises are said to have approached Thomas regarding potential coaching opportunities. The interest highlights the growing recognition he has earned within European basketball and could represent the next step in his coaching career.
