Having been named ACB Player of the Round only twice in his previous seasons in Spain, Hezonja earned the honor three times this year alone. His most memorable outing came in Round 29 against UCAM Murcia, when he exploded for 40 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, and a performance index rating of 53 in fewer than 30 minutes, becoming the first player in twenty years to surpass the 50-PIR mark in a single game.<\/p>\n<p>Hezonja finished the season with an average PIR of 18.8, the highest figure recorded by an ACB MVP over the past four years.
