The <strong data-start=\"1478\" data-end=\"1496\">Boston Celtics<\/strong> head coach led Boston to 56 wins and the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference despite <strong data-start=\"1583\" data-end=\"1599\">Jayson Tatum<\/strong> missing most of the season with a torn Achilles.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1650\" data-end=\"1895\">Mazzulla received 62 first-place votes and 392 total points, finishing ahead of <strong data-start=\"1730\" data-end=\"1750\">J.B. Bickerstaff<\/strong> of the Detroit Pistons and <strong data-start=\"1778\" data-end=\"1795\">Mitch Johnson<\/strong> of the San Antonio Spurs. At 37, he is the youngest winner of the award since Phil Johnson in 1975.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1897\" data-end=\"2143\">\u201cThe process towards a championship is the No. 1 goal,\u201d Mazzulla said, while also crediting his players, staff and the entire organization.
