The 24-year-old big man signed a new \u201c2+1\u201d contract extension that will keep him with the club through the 2028\/29 season. The deal is guaranteed for the next two years and includes an NBA exit clause for the summer of 2027, as well as a buyout option before the third season.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1961\" data-end=\"2207\">Tubelis averaged 12.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and a 12.7 PIR in EuroLeague play, finishing as the team\u2019s third-leading scorer and third-most efficient player. He elevated his performances in the playoffs, averaging 17.2 points and 18.2 PIR per game.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2209\" data-end=\"2555\">\u201cI\u2019m very happy to extend my contract. \u017dalgiris provides everything at the highest level \u2014 the arena, organization and support system are amazing. My job is to work hard on the court, and I think I did a pretty good job this season. A lot of people were happy with my performances, so I\u2019m excited to stay here for a few more years,\u201d Tubelis said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2557\" data-end=\"2889\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Club president <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Paulius Jank\u016bnas<\/span><\/span> also praised the extension: \u201cOur main goal was to keep a player like \u0104\u017euolas for as long as possible. We saw his growth throughout the season, both as a player and as a person.
