The idea never became a formal negotiation, but it emerged during the <strong data-start=\"1743\" data-end=\"1771\">Paris 2024 Olympic Games<\/strong>, when the Golden State Warriors coach was in France as Team USA head coach.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1849\" data-end=\"2159\">Paris president David Kahn said Kerr contacted him during the second week of the Olympics after spending a full day walking around Paris with his wife. \u201cHe told me they couldn\u2019t stop thinking about how cool it would be to live in this city and, why not, continue his coaching career here once he left the NBA.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2161\" data-end=\"2413\">Kahn added that he told Kerr the <strong data-start=\"2194\" data-end=\"2214\">Paris Basketball<\/strong> coaching job would be there for him if he wanted to take that step.
