FIBA has made two major hosting decisions for its flagship national-team events. The 2030 Women\u2019s Basketball World Cup<\/strong> will be staged in Tokyo<\/strong>, while the 2031 FIBA Basketball World Cup<\/strong> has been awarded to France<\/strong>, with games set to be played in Paris, Lille and Lyon<\/strong>. The men\u2019s tournament is scheduled from August 29 to September 14, 2031<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On the women\u2019s side, Tokyo\u2019s selection fits into the new calendar approved by FIBA, which moved future editions of the Women\u2019s Basketball World Cup<\/strong> to the November-December<\/strong> window starting in 2030. FIBA had already confirmed that the 2030 edition would be held in that period.<\/p>\n

France\u2019s appointment further underlines the country\u2019s growing role in global basketball hosting.
