Spurs coach Mitch Johnson said the team would follow the proper medical steps. Under NBA guidelines, a player cannot return to full participation for 48 hours after the injury and may resume gradual activity after 24 hours only if symptoms do not worsen.

The play happened with 8:57 left in the second quarter, when Wembanyama drove to the basket with Jrue Holiday defending and landed chin-first on the floor. He later went to the locker room and did not return. Before exiting, he had 5 points and 4 rebounds. Game 3 is scheduled for Friday in Portland, where the Spurs hope to have more clarity on their franchise star.

The San Antonio Spurs star exited in the second quarter of Game 2 against the Portland Trail Blazers after a hard fall

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[399
[179,187

post-493849","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nba","typology-injury","typology-video
https://sportando.basketball/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2026/04/Screenshot-2026-04-22-alle-08.38.46.png
["GET
