The related calendar change would be an earlier start, likely one or two weeks ahead of the usual timeline.

This development also fits with indications that had emerged in recent weeks after CEO Chus Bueno pointed to April 14 as the key date to define the 2026-27 EuroLeague format. A broader expansion had been discussed before, but at this stage continuity appears to be the most realistic outcome.

As there is still no official league statement already announcing formal approval, the report should be read as the expected outcome of tomorrow’s meeting. The key point, however, is clear: according to Sportando’s exclusive, EuroLeague is leaning toward keeping the 20-club format and postponing any deeper structural change.

On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, the EuroLeague Board is expected to confirm the current format for the 2026-27 season

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[199
["post-492729","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-euroleague
["GET
