Rozier has been away from the team since Oct. 23, when he was arrested as part of a federal investigation into illegal gambling.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4052\" data-end=\"4366\">The situation also affected the trade that brought him to Miami from Charlotte in January 2024, with the <strong data-start=\"4157\" data-end=\"4168\">Hornets<\/strong> later sending a second-round pick to the Heat to settle the dispute. Rozier\u2019s $26.6 million contract expires this summer, though his salary has been placed in escrow while the legal case continues.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4368\" data-end=\"4562\">To clear waivers before the regular season ends, Rozier would need to be released by 5 p.m. on April 9.
