AS Monaco continues to dominate in France (currently on a 13-games winning streak in BetClic Elite) but the club appears set to lose head coach Vassilis Spanoulis.<\/p>\n
The Principality team had initially announced<\/a> that the Greek coach would be on the bench, effectively denying several reports suggesting an imminent separation.<\/p>\n However, Spanoulis did not coach the team in the French Cup semifinal and, according to Eurohoops<\/a> and other specialized outlets, has confirmed his \u201cirreversible\u201d intention to leave following the well-known issues that have affected the group in recent weeks.<\/p>\n On the court, the team\u2014once again led by Sergei Gladyr with Manuchar Markoishvili serving as first assistant\u2014reached the French Cup final after defeating Nanterre92 88-83.<\/p>\n Six Monaco players scored in double figures, led by Alpha Diallo with 16 points.
