Euroleague Basketball has officially announced the Remuneration Levels that will be implemented for the 2026\u201327 season. This campaign will mark the second transitional season under the new framework, as the Competitive Balance Standards (CBS), a comprehensive set of regulations designed to enhance the current FSFPR, continues its phased implementation ahead of full enforcement in the 2027\u201328 season.<\/p>\n

The CBS ensure balanced remuneration levels across all clubs based on collective revenues. It aims to strengthen financial sustainability, promote competitive balance, prevent inappropriate practices, and increase transparency among participating clubs, while aligning stakeholders\u2019 objectives.<\/p>\n

2026\u201327 Financial Indicators<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The 2026\u201327 Average Licensed Clubs Defined Revenues (ALCDR), comprising game-day earnings, commercial revenues, and other income generated by EuroLeague licensed clubs over a three-season period, amounts to \u20ac22,298,591.<\/p>\n

The ALCDR represents a 14% increase compared to the\u00a0previous season\u2019s indicator, \u20ac19,489,944,<\/a>\u00a0reflecting the business growth of\u00a0EuroLeague licensed<\/strong>\u00a0clubs across key commercial verticals accelerated by the growing strength and maturity of the EuroLeague ecosystem, which actively enhances business performance by driving sustainable commercial expansion, reinforcing collective growth, and creating an increasingly solid commercial framework for its clubs.<\/p>\n

Remuneration Levels for 2026\u201327 Season<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Low, Base, and High Remuneration Levels, calculated as a percentage of the ALCDR, will include the following parameters for the 2026\u201327 season:<\/p>\n

Low Remuneration Level (LRL):<\/strong>\u00a0The minimum net expenditure required for clubs\u2019 remuneration to players, varying by club license type.<\/p>\n

  • Licensed Clubs: 30% of ALCDR \u2013 \u20ac6,689,577<\/li>\n
  • Associated Clubs via wildcard: 24% of ALCDR \u2013 \u20ac5,351,662<\/li>\n
  • Associated Clubs via EuroCup: 21% of ALCDR \u2013 \u20ac4,682,704<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Base Remuneration Level (BRL):<\/strong>\u00a0The net amount any participating club may spend on registered players\u2019 remuneration, excluding Anchor Players, U23 Players, Extended-Tenure Players, Long-Term Unavailability, and Medium-Range Exceptions.<\/p>\n

    • 40% of ALCDR \u2013 \u20ac8,919,437. As this amount is lower than the minimum threshold established, the BRL for the 2026\u201327 season will be set at \u20ac10,000,000.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      High Remuneration Level (HRL):<\/strong>\u00a0To enter into force beginning with the 2027\u201328 season. The HRL will determine the net amount any club may spend on registered players\u2019 remuneration, including Anchor Players and excluding U23 Players, Extended-Tenure Players, Long-Term Unavailability, and Medium-Range Exceptions.<\/p>\n

      Competitive Balance Compensation (CBC)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

      The Competitive Balance Compensation (CBC) mechanism, designed to ensure financial fairness by redistributing funds collected from clubs exceeding the BRL and, starting the 2027-28 season the HRL, will apply exclusively to clubs surpassing the BRL during this transitional period.<\/p>\n

      Funds collected through the CBC will be distributed equally among compliant clubs at the conclusion of the season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
