One week after the London meeting, the NBA is pushing forward with its NBA Europe project<\/strong>, preparing to share financial projections<\/strong> with some of the world\u2019s leading investment groups. According to the Financial Times<\/em>, the process involves granting access to data rooms and financial plans<\/strong> related to the future competition.<\/p>\n

Among the groups reportedly given access to the documents are Blackstone, CVC, RedBird and General Atlantic<\/strong>, alongside BlackRock, BC Partners and Oaktree<\/strong>. Investors are currently assessing the possibility of providing financial backing to the franchises of the new European league<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Commissioner Adam Silver<\/strong> emphasized that in Europe the NBA is open to types of investors not permitted in the United States<\/strong>, due to different regulations and traditions. The Financial Times<\/em> also reports that more than 300 expressions of interest<\/strong> have already been submitted, with non-binding bids expected by the end of March<\/strong> and franchise valuations estimated between $500 million and $1 billion<\/strong>.
