data-end="2005">Los Angeles Lakers lost Luka Dončić during the matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers: the team announced a left leg contusion and ruled him out for the rest of the game.
Per ESPN reporting, the injury was caused by a collision with Bogdan Bogdanovic.

On Monday, JJ Redick said Dončić is day-to-day, and the star was seen at practice with tape around his lower left leg.
Before exiting, Dončić posted 12 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists in 20 minutes.

The article also notes the broader season context: the Lakers sit fourth in the West at 19-7, while Dončić is averaging 35.2 points, 8.8 rebounds and 9.1 assists.
It adds that he has already dealt with minor issues earlier in the season, including a finger sprain and a prior leg contusion.

The piece stresses the importance of staying healthy, also mentioning LeBron James dealing with right-side sciatica before the season.
As framed in the report, the Lakers’ title hopes hinge on both Dončić and James being injury-free heading into the playoffs.

JJ Redick said Luka Doncic (lower left leg contusion) is day-to-day.

Austin
