Despite having just turned 20, Zaccharie Risacher<\/strong> already has a clear vision for both his personal goals and those of a young French national team ahead of EuroBasket.<\/p>\n

The first overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft and Atlanta Hawks forward shared his thoughts in an interview with Athletiko<\/em>:<\/a><\/p>\n

“I want to help my team win as many games as possible, and I\u2019m ready to contribute in every way \u2014 through defense, scoring, and rebounding. I\u2019m a very versatile player, and I need to adapt quickly to the team\u2019s needs, make the right plays at the right time, and create the best situations to help as much as I can.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Risacher\u2019s objective is clear: winning a medal. France has consistently been among the top contenders, and the rookie forward is optimistic about their chances:<\/p>\n

“I think we have a good shot. We play well together, we enjoy playing for one another, and that\u2019s the most important thing. We\u2019re focused on ourselves and on becoming the best version of our team. We know it\u2019s going to be a huge challenge, but our goal is to win EuroBasket. We\u2019ve worked very hard over the past two months and we have a fantastic group, full of talent and great people. Now we just need to give it everything we have.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Risacher is coming off his rookie season in the NBA, where he averaged 12.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
