The warm-up event, which serves as Greece\u2019s final preparation before <strong data-start=\"344\" data-end=\"363\">EuroBasket 2025<\/strong>, includes games against Serbia and Israel but will now proceed without the two-time NBA MVP.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"460\" data-end=\"1000\">His absence rules out a highly anticipated clash with fellow NBA MVP <strong data-start=\"529\" data-end=\"545\">Nikola Jokic<\/strong>, who will lead Serbia. The two stars\u2014both considered future Hall of Famers\u2014haven\u2019t met in international competition since 2019. Antetokounmpo is coming off his ninth straight NBA All-Star appearance and seventh consecutive All-NBA First Team honor. They will face Serbia tonight at 20:30 local time in the <strong data-start=\"1260\" data-end=\"1286\">Spyros Kyprianou Arena<\/strong>, the same venue set to host their group stage games at EuroBasket. Earlier in the day, Cyprus will play Israel in the tournament opener.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1427\" data-end=\"1715\">Head coach <strong data-start=\"1438\" data-end=\"1460\">Vassilis Spanoulis<\/strong> addressed Antetokounmpo\u2019s situation earlier this week, noting that the Bucks\u2019 star is following a personal training regimen. \u201cHe is following his own program,\u201d Spanoulis said. \u201cI don\u2019t think missing this event will affect his EuroBasket participation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1717\" data-end=\"1952\">Antetokounmpo is expected to rejoin the national team later in August, ahead of group stage play in Limassol.
