{"id":454380,"date":"2025-08-06T08:48:06","date_gmt":"2025-08-06T06:48:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportando.basketball\/?p=454380"},"modified":"2025-08-06T08:48:06","modified_gmt":"2025-08-06T06:48:06","slug":"fenerbahce-interested-in-simone-fontecchio-but-nba-exit-may-not-be-imminent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportando.basketball\/en\/fenerbahce-interested-in-simone-fontecchio-but-nba-exit-may-not-be-imminent\/","title":{"rendered":"Fenerbahce Interested in Simone Fontecchio, but NBA Exit May Not Be Imminent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/nikoskrijelj\/status\/1952820427962880366\">Niko Yenibayrak of SportsDigitale,<\/a> Fenerbahce is reportedly very interested in bringing Simone Fontecchio back to Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The report stems from <a href=\"https:\/\/sportando.basketball\/en\/miami-heat-is-simone-fontecchios-future-in-the-nba-at-risk\/\">recent speculation<\/a> surrounding a potential release of the Italian forward by the Miami Heat\u2014but that\u2019s where some confusion begins.<\/p>\n<p>Ira Winderman of The <em>Sun Sentinel<\/em> simply mentioned <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sun-sentinel.com\/2025\/08\/01\/heat-with-end-of-month-deadline-for-stretch-run-arrivederci-fontecchio\/\">in a mailbag<\/a> that, in his opinion, Fontecchio would be the most likely candidate if the Heat were to use the <em>stretch provision<\/em> to get under the luxury tax threshold.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, Miami is only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.capsheets.com\/miami-heat-cap-sheet\/\">about $1.6 million above the limit<\/a>\u2014a relatively small amount by NBA standards.
