Giannis Antetokounmpo appears to rule out the possibility of leaving the Milwaukee Bucks via trade, in comments made during an interview with Coast to Coast Brasil<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

When asked about the NBA Finals, the Greek star replied:
\n“Two great teams made it, two great teams\u2026 Indiana, with my friend Pascal Siakam, is now reaping the rewards (of his arrival from the Raptors), and on OKC\u2019s side, they have the MVP\u2026 Who am I rooting for? Just hoping to see some good basketball, that\u2019s all… The Finals are something else \u2014 I hope to be back there soon with the Bucks.”<\/em><\/p>\n

UPDATE:<\/strong> It seems the tweet containing this quote \u2014 already picked up by several U.S. media outlets \u2014 has been deleted from Coast to Coast<\/em>‘s account.<\/p>\n

Giannis also addressed the lack of recognition he sometimes receives compared to other players, despite being the only NBA player with three seasons averaging over 30 points on 60% shooting from the field.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ll be honest with you \u2014 sometimes I stop and think about it. You don\u2019t play the game for accolades, but it\u2019s always nice to get some recognition… but in the end, who cares? I can\u2019t control what others think. But as you said, the numbers are there \u2014 in sharp contrast to the narratives that are often pushed. The only thing I can control is my effort, and based on that, I know I\u2019m one of the best in the league.”<\/em><\/p>\n
