The Boston Celtics, the reigning NBA champions, were just eliminated from the 2025 playoffs by the New York Knicks. Here are the words of some of the key players, as reported by ESPN.<\/p>\n

Jaylen Brown:
“Finishing in May feels weird; it\u2019s not something we were prepared for. Things didn’t go our way this year, and it’s unfortunate. But we hold our head up regardless. Losing to the Knicks feels like death. But I was always taught that there’s life after death, so we’ll get ready for whatever’s next in the journey.”<\/p>\n

Then coach Joe Mazzulla said:
“We ran into a great team. You have to tip your hat to the Knicks. They outplayed us. They played better.”<\/p>\n

And then Porzingis, who was also out in Game 6 along with the long-term injured Jayson Tatum, added:
