Tibor Pleiss has arrived in Athens to join Panathinaikos, where he will reunite with coach Ergin Ataman.

“We won two Euroleague titles together, we had a very good partnership with a total of nine titles in Turkey,” the German center commented with the media who welcomed him to Greece.

“We have spent a lot of time together, we have celebrated many times and I hope we will continue to do so here. I know Panathinaikos, although I have always been on the opposite side, as an opponent. Now I will have the opportunity to know this world, these fantastic fans who will be our sixth man, I am excited”.

Pleiss spent the first half of season in Italy with Trapani, under coach Repesa.
