Theis joins the club on a contract for the remainder of this season and the next, coming directly from the <strong data-start=\"1936\" data-end=\"1943\">NBA<\/strong>, where he has spent the past seven seasons. Having previously played only in <strong data-start=\"2021\" data-end=\"2054\">Germany and the United States<\/strong>, Theis will now experience a third league. He also returns to the <strong data-start=\"2121\" data-end=\"2135\">EuroLeague<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2137\" data-end=\"2152\">eight years<\/strong> after his last appearance with <strong data-start=\"2184\" data-end=\"2201\">Brose Bamberg<\/strong>, where he played <strong data-start=\"2219\" data-end=\"2231\">54 games<\/strong>, averaging <strong data-start=\"2243\" data-end=\"2271\">9.4 points, 4.5 rebounds<\/strong>, and a <strong data-start=\"2279\" data-end=\"2305\">10.1 efficiency rating<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2310\" data-end=\"3084\">A key player in Germany\u2019s <strong data-start=\"2336\" data-end=\"2376\">historic 2023 FIBA World Cup victory<\/strong>, where they defeated Team USA in the semifinals before triumphing over Serbia in the final, Theis is a <strong data-start=\"2480\" data-end=\"2501\">versatile big man<\/strong> capable of playing both <strong data-start=\"2526\" data-end=\"2554\">power forward and center<\/strong>. He is known for his <strong data-start=\"2576\" data-end=\"2597\">defensive prowess<\/strong> and team-oriented playstyle. This season, Theis started with <strong data-start=\"2659\" data-end=\"2687\">the New Orleans Pelicans<\/strong> (4.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 16 minutes per game), before being traded to <strong data-start=\"2779\" data-end=\"2796\">Oklahoma City<\/strong> and subsequently waived. With <strong data-start=\"2827\" data-end=\"2844\">452 NBA games<\/strong> under his belt, he brings an impressive r\u00e9sum\u00e9 to <strong data-start=\"2895\" data-end=\"2908\">Roca Team<\/strong>, eager to contribute to Monaco\u2019s success.
