Nicol\u00f2 Melli, captain of Italbasket and now playing for Fenerbahce<\/a>, gave an exclusive interview to Sky Sport. These are his statements.<\/p>\n

On signing with Fenerbahce<\/strong>: “I am very happy to come back to a place where I was good. They wanted me very much, so I am very happy and very charged for this new old adventure”.<\/p>\n

On leaving Olimpia Milano<\/strong> “It was definitely a period of change, so many things happened in a very short time. The farewell was a bit hasty, but that does not take away from the fact that I spent three wonderful years in Milan. I will always be grateful to the owners, to Ettore, for bringing me back to Milan and making me captain. But I was captain of three consecutive championships, I played with extraordinary teammates, I was in a great organization”.<\/p>\n

On the Milan adventure<\/strong>: “The last week certainly does not erase three intense years, certainly with many lows, but also highs and above all with three championships, with three satisfactions in a city like Milan, which, as I said and as I wrote, I love. The last week was a bit stormy, but it doesn’t erase three years, it doesn’t erase the gratitude towards the people who allowed me to live this adventure”.<\/p>\n

On the end of the marriage with Olimpia<\/strong>: “I tend to point that out because it seemed like I was the one closing a door or something. As I said, it was all a bit fast, but that’s part of the game and it’s okay, I repeat, it certainly doesn’t erase the three wonderful years I had in Milan”.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
