The Celtics took a 2-0 lead in the NBA final series against the Dallas Mavericks, winning Game 2 105-98. Celtics centre Kristaps Porzingis suffered a minor injury to his right leg towards the end of the game, but reassured fans by saying he expected to be on the court for Game 3 in Dallas.<\/p>\n
Porzingis said: \u2018It was not difficult to keep playing. I will give whatever it takes on the court. Even though I was a little limited, the right choice was to put Al [Horford] back in to close out the game. After missing over five weeks due to a calf problem, Porzingis scored 12 points, four rebounds and two blocks in 23 minutes.<\/p>\n
Despite their shooting woes, the Celtics kept Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving in check, limiting the latter to just 16 points. Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla was proud of the defensive discipline shown by the team.<\/p>\n
With another win, the Celtics could move closer to their 18th NBA title, but Jrue Holiday stressed that the job is not over yet: \u2018Being ahead 2-0 doesn’t mean anything. We have to do whatever it takes to win.”<\/p>\n
