The German Basketball Federation has announced that it will part ways with coach Gordon Herbert after the 2024 Olympic Games, news that surprised many insiders. Dennis Schroder, one of Germany’s best players and captain of his national team, sided with coach Herbert by giving an interview to the German Press Agency. These are his statements.

Schroder’s words: “I think it’s a shame that the national team didn’t come to me to talk about it. I don’t think anyone in our team knew about it and I think the captain obviously needs to be asked about it so he can inform my guys. He has led us like no other in the last two years. A great coach. The mentality he has brought to the team, the way we play, the distribution of roles, has been fantastic. Of course I think it’s a shame and sad that he can’t continue. I wish him all the best.

The German Basketball Federation announced the separation with coach Herbert after Paris 2024, Schroder does not stand for it: these are his words.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[243,369,381
["post-388166","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-germany","category-national-teams","category-olympic-games
["GET
