RJ Barrett has no intention of leaving the Knicks or New York. Barrett, however, is pleased to be returning home to play in Toronto if a trade has to be made.<\/p>\n
Barrett was up in the Toronto region and is a key member of the Canadian National Team. He reportedly thinks the Raptors are a fantastic fit for him.<\/p>\n
Precious Achiuwa, Malachi Flynn, and OG Anunoby were traded to Toronto in exchange for Barrett and Immanuel Quickley from the New York Knicks.<\/p>\n
Barrett participated in Canada’s 2023 FIBA World Cup bronze medal winning team. Barrett averaged 16.8 points and five rebounds per game throughout the tournament.<\/p>\n
Now that the Raptors are rebuilding, the 6-foot-6 wing will head back home to contribute significantly. Barrett is anticipated to make his Toronto debut as soon as the deal is completed and both parties have completed their physicals.<\/p>\n
