Giannis Antetokounmpo rewrote the franchise record by scoring 64 points against Indiana, but at the end of the game the game ball ended up in the Pacers&#8217; locker room.<\/p>\n<p>This infuriates Giannis, who decides to take justice into his own hands by reaching the opponents&#8217; locker room. It was then the Bucks&#8217; security who retrieved the match ball and handed it over to its rightful owner, the Bucks star.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"560\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Pacers coach Rick Carlisle on why the team tried to keep the game ball: \u201cIt was Oscar Tshiebwe\u2019s first official NBA point\u2026We were not thinking about Giannis\u2019 franchise [64-point] record.\u201d He also says a Bucks player elbowed their GM in the ribs. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/iknKLN4l0w\">pic.twitter.com\/iknKLN4l0w<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Chris Haynes (@ChrisBHaynes) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ChrisBHaynes\/status\/1735162659291758989?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 14, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>In the press room, the coach of the Indiana Pacers reconstructed the facts: &#8216;It was the first official basket in the NBA for our Oscar Tshiebwe. We didn&#8217;t think about Giannis&#8217; record.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But Rick Carlisle revealed even more: &#8220;A couple minutes later, some of their players ended up in our hallway and there was a big, I don&#8217;t know what to call it &#8230; scuffle. I don&#8217;t think there were any punches, but my GM got elbowed in the ribs by one of their players.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>There was also a brief exchange of banter during the game involving several players.<\/p>\n<p>Antetokounmpo was tackled by Aaron Nesmith on a play under the basket with 10:10 to go, starting the confrontation.
