Five <\/span>countries <\/span><\/span>have been\u00a0<\/span>confirmed at<\/span>\u00a0today’s FIBA Central Board meeting as hosts of this summer’s\u00a0<\/span>FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournaments.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Pre-Qualifying Tournaments give<\/span><\/span> 40 countries<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0that did not make it to the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023<\/a> hope of still reaching the Paris Olympic Games in 2024.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

By winning a Pre-Qualifying Tournament, a country would then take part in one of next year\u2019s FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments, with the winners of those clinching spots in Paris.<\/span><\/span>\u202f<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
