The Brisbane Bullets are pleased to announce that Tom\u00a0Digbeu\u00a0will\u00a0join the team\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0NBL22 season\u00a0as part of the NBL Next Stars program.\u00a0This signing marks the first time Brisbane have had an NBL Next Star on their roster.<\/p>\n
Digbeu\u00a0is an exciting young European talent, with his sights set on the 2022 NBA draft. The 19-year-old has prior professional experience, most recently with BC\u00a0Prienai\u00a0in the highly regarded Lithuanian\u00a0league.\u00a0He had a breakout performance against European powerhouse \u017dalgiris last season, with 27 points and 11 rebounds.<\/p>\n
As a junior,\u00a0Digbeu\u00a0rose through the ranks of FC Barcelona\u2019s basketball academy. During his decorated junior career, he attended\u00a0the 2018 NBA Basketball Without Borders (Europe) camp\u00a0and 2017 Jordan Brand Classic\u00a0and impressed alongside current NBA talent.<\/p>\n
Born in Spain,\u00a0Digbeu\u00a0is eligible to play for both the Spanish and French national teams as his father, former NBA draftee Alain\u00a0Digbeu\u00a0is of French\u00a0decent.<\/p>\n
