{"id":196903,"date":"2021-01-27T16:03:15","date_gmt":"2021-01-27T15:03:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportando.basketball\/?p=196903"},"modified":"2021-01-27T16:03:15","modified_gmt":"2021-01-27T15:03:15","slug":"bourg-and-one-team-helping-local-youngsters-with-deafness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportando.basketball\/en\/bourg-and-one-team-helping-local-youngsters-with-deafness\/","title":{"rendered":"Bourg and One Team helping local youngsters with deafness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For its first participation in One Team, French club JL Bourg En Bresse is working with the Institut des Jeunes Sourds, part of the AFIS Association which support local people who suffer from deafness.<\/p>\n<p>One of the participants is a 13-year-old profoundly deaf boy called Adam, and One Team Educator Julie Berchoux explained that the project has helped him learn how to integrate: &#8220;He has a lot of difficulties with social codes. The One Team project helped Adam to grow up, including being part of a group with teammates he did not know.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-responsive embed-responsive-16by9\"><iframe class=\"embed-responsive-item\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mRw3SEW8rz8\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>The club also has produced a video showing the impact of the project, including Adam teaching us a few basketball words in sign language.
