Los Angeles Lakers guard Alex Caruso joined JJ Redick’s podcast and revealed that he was close to signing in Europe after going undrafted in 2016.<\/p>\n
“After I got undrafted, I played my first Summer League with the 76ers. So they had Ben, TJ McConnell, and me as the point guards so I didn\u2019t really play much. When I did play, I didn\u2019t play very well. After that happened, I went like a week span where I was talking to my agent and trying to figure out where I was going to go. I would be lying if I didn\u2019t tell you there was a lot of disappointment when I was thinking about going to play overseas. I thought I was going to play in Poland, Germany. I actually talked to a German team’s head coach who was Canadian (maybe Gordon Herbert who coached the Fraport Skyliners at that time).”<\/p>\n
