{"id":169426,"date":"2020-08-31T07:58:15","date_gmt":"2020-08-31T05:58:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportando.basketball\/?p=169426"},"modified":"2020-08-31T07:58:29","modified_gmt":"2020-08-31T05:58:29","slug":"morris-ejected-doncic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportando.basketball\/en\/morris-ejected-doncic\/","title":{"rendered":"Marcus Morris ejected for a foul on Luka Doncic who says: It was a terrible play"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Marcus Morris has been ejected in Game 6 of the series against the Dallas Mavericks for a flagrant foul 2 on Luka Doncic.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vkzeCq-0KsU\" width=\"715\" height=\"500\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>After the game Luka Doncic complained for the hard foul made by Marcus Morris who stepped on Luka&#8217;s ankle in Game 5.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/story\/_\/id\/29774262\/la-clippers-marcus-morris-ejected-flagrant-foul-dallas-mavericks-luka-doncic\"><strong>Per ESPN<\/strong><\/a>, &#8220;It was a terrible play. What can I say?&#8221; Doncic said after his 38-point, 9-rebound, 9-assist performance in the Mavs&#8217; season-ending 111-97 loss. &#8220;It&#8217;s two games in a row he did something like that. I really hoped the first game it wasn&#8217;t on purpose, but looking back on the foul this game, you know what I think.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t want to deal with that kind of players. Just move on.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They had to make that call,&#8221; Morris said of the flagrant 2 on Sunday. &#8220;I think, honestly, we had a lot of back-and-forth this series. It was a hard-fought series. I just don&#8217;t want people to mistake playing basketball, playing hard with trying to hurt somebody. I think Tim Hardaway had an extremely hard foul with [Paul George] last game, and it wasn&#8217;t taken in [the same context].&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Talking about Doncic, Morris said, &#8220;He&#8217;s a young player. He&#8217;s going to be the face of the league. I&#8217;ve taken into account all of that. I have been around for a while. I know how this thing works. &#8230; I am a grown man. I stand on my own. Like I said, I didn&#8217;t mean to step on his ankle. They can say the stuff that they want to say, this and that, on Twitter. &#8230; Whatever they want to say, they can say it.
