{"id":159326,"date":"2020-07-15T15:32:28","date_gmt":"2020-07-15T13:32:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportando.basketball\/?p=159326"},"modified":"2020-07-15T15:32:28","modified_gmt":"2020-07-15T13:32:28","slug":"brisbane-bullets-add-anthony-drmic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportando.basketball\/en\/brisbane-bullets-add-anthony-drmic\/","title":{"rendered":"Brisbane Bullets add Anthony Drmic"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"lg:pl-0 xl:px-28 w-full relative\" data-v-a1e862c6=\"\">\n<div class=\"wysiwyg-content text-base leading-tight tracking-normal font-normal nl2br leading-normal\" data-v-a1e862c6=\"\">\n<p>The Brisbane Bullets have made their first major signing of the free agency period with former Adelaide 36ers, Anthony Drmic signing a two-year, plus option, deal with the club.<\/p>\n<p>The 28-year-old Drmic averaged a career high 10.5 points per game for Adelaide last season in his fourth year in the league, which included a career high 25-point outburst against the Bullets last November.<\/p>\n<p>Drmic won the 2017 NBL Rookie of the Year award and had a standout college career with Boise State, where he ranks second on the school\u2019s all-time three-pointers made list with 275.<\/p>\n<p>Brisbane Head Coach Andrej Lemanis said: \u201cWe are delighted to have Anthony commit to the club.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have always admired Anthony\u2019s game from afar and can\u2019t wait to incorporate his shooting ability into our game plan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnthony is a high-character individual and always brings an abundance of energy on and off the floor. Not only will he be a value add on the court, but he will be just as important in the locker room and in the wider Brisbane community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Drmic said: \u201cI had a couple of different options, but I ultimately ended up going with Brisbane.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought it was the best fit for me culture wise and basketball wise. There are a couple guys over there I already know and I like what Lemanis has been doing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought it was the best fit and decided to go with it.
