Philadelphia 76ers GM Elton Brand talks to the Athletic about the work of the front office during the pandemic coronavirus.

“We’re preparing for as many scenarios as we can right now,” Brand said. “I’m very hopeful this season will resume so we can get back out there and compete, but of course that’s once it’s deemed safe.”

We’re preparing as if the season is coming back. I speak to Brett Brown every day on FaceTime still, and he has his staff preparing for the regular season and playoffs. There are just so many unknowns, but he’s prepping, I’m prepping, and I hope we do get a chance to play in some way once it’s deemed safe.

“I’ve said it many times: That’s what we were built for. So I want to see that”

Before the suspension the 76ers were sixth in the Eastern Conference with 39 wins over 65 games.
