The National Basketball Association
\n(NBA) and Tech Smart Sports Connectors Corp., today announced a partnership that
\nmakes OWQLO, a New York-based mobile platform that serves as an information hub
\nfor sports organizations, the official Jr. NBA League app in Europe and Latin America.
\nThe Jr. NBA OWQLO App will first launch in the United Kingdom and Puerto Rico and
\nwill be available in 29 countries across Europe and Latin America where Jr. NBA leagues
\noperate ahead of the 2020-21 Jr. NBA League season.
\nTo help improve the youth basketball experience for players, coaches and parents, the
\nOWQLO app will incorporate a dedicated Jr. NBA League section where participants
\nwill have free access to league information, news, photos, videos and other content all in
\none place.\u00a0 Exclusive for Jr. NBA League players, coaches and parents, OWQLO users
\nwill be able to create a personal profile to receive customized information about
\nupcoming practices, events and games.
\nThe partnership will leverage OWQLO\u2019s technology to enable Jr. NBA League coaches
\nto provide teams with personalized basketball development instructions and parents with
\nprivate progress reports on their child\u2019s development through the app.
\nThe Jr. NBA, the league\u2019s global youth basketball program for boys and girls, teaches the
\nfundamental skills as well as the core values of the game at the grassroots level to help
\ngrow and improve the youth basketball experience for players, coaches and parents. The
\nNBA currently has 89 Jr. NBA leagues in 31 countries in Europe and the Middle East
\nreaching over 40,000 boys and girls ages 10-14.\u00a0 In Latin America, the NBA has Jr. NBA
\nleagues in Argentina, Puerto Rico, El Salvador and Uruguay.
\nDuring the 2019-20 season, the NBA and its teams will reach more than 60 million youth
\nin 72 countries through league play, in-school programming, clinics, skills challenges,
\nand other outreach events.<\/p>\n
