Winner League: “We’re sorry Maccabi Tel Aviv hasn’t updated its players on MOH guidelines”

Jake Cohen publicly raised questions on the Winner League not conducting COVID-19 tests

The Winner League issued a statement in the light of the questions raised publicly by Maccabi Tel Aviv player Jake Cohen.

“The league has given all the teams the guidelines from the Ministry of Health, including their opposition to conducting COVID-19 tests due to their probability of being inaccurate. We regret that Maccabi Tel Aviv did not make sure to update its players regarding the layout and guidelines of the Ministry of Health.”

Cohen publicly criticized the Winner League for not conducting COVID-19 tests. Fellow Maccabi Tel Aviv players Scottie Wilbekin and Quincy Acy also expressed their disappointment for the fact that the league is not changing their mind on the return of the season despite the increase of COVID-19 cases.
