Virtus Bologna secured a hard-fought 86-81 win over Barcelona at the Segafredo Arena, led by an outstanding performance from Isaïa Cordinier, who scored 24 points, including 11 in the final 10 minutes.

The game started with Bologna taking control early, using fast breaks and strong ball movement to build an 8-point lead after the first quarter. Barcelona responded through Justin Anderson and Jabari Parker, keeping the gap manageable.

In the second quarter, Virtus struggled from beyond the arc, missing all 13 three-point attempts, but dominated the offensive boards, with Ante Zizic leading the effort. Despite their shooting woes, Bologna held a narrow advantage at halftime.

The third quarter turned into a battle of runs, as Barcelona’s Kevin Punter and Parker heated up, matched by Virtus’ triples from Daniel Hackett and Achille Polonara. The period ended in a draw, setting the stage for a tense final quarter.

In the closing minutes, Barcelona briefly took the lead thanks to Punter and Parker, but Cordinier carried Bologna on his shoulders. The French guard scored nine of his team’s final 11 points, including key free throws to seal the game. A late turnover by Dario Brizuela sealed the win for Virtus.

With this victory, Virtus Bologna returns to winning ways in the EuroLeague, reaffirming their playoff ambitions.
