CSKA Moscow CEO talks about the goal for the current season: Our goal is to adapt to today’s state. It is very difficult after last season’s victories but it is necessary

Andrei Vatutin, CEO of CSKA Moscow, spoke with Sports.ru about the EuroLeague reigning champions that have a 6-4 record in the top competition.

“Now our motto is ‘help yourself’. This team was built around Will Clyburn (out for the season with injury). It is impossible to find a player like him capable to play from one to four and to defend against all the opponents, from one to five. We are monitoring the market, some players have been offered. But there are no candidates” Vatutin said. “Our main goal is to understand that the CSKA from the past season no longer exists. We are trying to build a new team. Talking about our goal is premature. The players have to understand each other on the floor. Our goal is to adapt to today’s state. It is very difficult after last season’s victories but it is necessary.”
