Valencia Basket has agreed to sign the French-Guinean center Alpha Kaba
Valencia Basket has agreed to sign the French-Guinean center Alpha Kaba (2.08m, Blois (France), 01/29/1996, 28 years old) for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. The player has left the Jiangsu Dragons after finishing his participation in the Chinese league with 16.3 points, 13.1 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks for 24 PIR index in 49 games. In his career, Kaba has four years of experience in the EuroCup and a career that has previously led him to play in the French league, the Turkish BSL (of which he was MVP in the 2021-22 season with Gaziantep) and the Adriatic League.
Alpha Kaba is an accomplished rebounding specialist. He finished his CBA campaign as the leader in total rebounds (13.1) and offensive rebounds (5.1). In his last game, played yesterday, he grabbed 26 rebounds to leave the tournament as the leader in this section. In his previous career, he also finished as the top rebounder in the EuroCup (2022-23), the Adriatic League (2016-17) and the Turkish League (2021-22). The player will begin the trip to our city today and, if he passes the relevant medical examination, he will immediately join practices with our men’s team. The Club is doing everything in its power to have the necessary documentation so that he can make his debut next Sunday.
