Rockets will have their first round pick in next season squad

Usman Garuba will join the Houston Rockets now.

The Spanish big man reached an agreement with Real Madrid to pay his €3 million buyout in some installments, will leave the Spanish powerhouse to join the Rockets which selected him with the 23rd pick of the 2021 NBA draft.


Garuba will have the first two years in the NBA guaranteed ($1.9M and $2M) with Rockets that can py up to $775k as buyout.


Garuba had a contract with Real Madrid through 2024 but he did jot want to wait to fulfill now his dream.
