As reported by Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports, the Los Angeles Clippers have started conversations with Lou Williams and his entourage about a possible contract extension. Williams, who just scored 50 points against the Golden State Warriors, is eligible for a contract extension during the season.
As noted by Bobby Marks of ESPN, Clippers can offer a maximum of 42$ mln in four years to Williams.
Sources: Lou Williams and the Clippers have recently engaged in contract extension discussions, but no deal's formed as sides evaluate positions. Williams went for 50 points against the Warriors in Oakland tonight. He's eligible for an extension during season.— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) 11 gennaio 2018
The maximum that the Clippers can offer Lou Williams on an extension is 4 years/$42M. The first year number of $9.3M is slightly above the mid level. That is what the market projects to be for Williams. Don’t expect anything (if at all) until post Feb. 8 deadline.— Bobby Marks (@BobbyMarks42) January 11, 2018
