Tyler Dorsey on EuroBasket: “FIBA should give us more rest between games”
Greece NT guard has spoken to Sportando after his team’s win over Ukraine: “We played great defense in the third quarter to take the lead in the game”
In Milano’s mixed zone, Greece NT guard Tyler Dorsey has spoken to Sportando about his team’s win over Ukraine, a result that secures top of Group C for the Greeks: “We still have a game to play and we don’t know yet who we will play, so it’s soon to talk about it. They will be win or go home games, Estonia has been fighting so we have to respect them”
Dorsey has analysed in depth the unfolding of today’s game: “In previous games we had leads and we blew them, today we had to fight back. Games are going to be different each time and at halftime we realised we let them score too much, so we pur up more energy in the 3rd quarter to bounce back and take the lead. We played great defense in that stretch”
Mavs guard has also spoken about the recovery of his injured teammates and offered his thoughts on EuroBasket structure: “Papagiannis has been out for two months so we expect him to have a slow start in the tournament, Sloukas is getting his rhythm back so that’s good. They’re building their confidence and we’re gonna need them, we’re gonna need every guy on the floor in Berlin. This is ridicolous how many games we’re playing, they (FIBA) should give us more rest between games. Bodies are dropping in every team and people want to see the best players, and they should give us more rest between games to give the fans what they want and they pay their tickets for. You got to do better”.
