Former UMass guard Trey Davis and Polish team MKS Dabrowa Gornicza are expected to part ways.
It all started when Davis, who was leading the team with 17 points and 5 assists per game, said he was disappointed with the late payments from the Polish club.
“I’m leaving, I won’t play for this club anymore,” he told the Polish website WP SportoweFakty.
Davis refused to play the following game against Rosa Radom (he then just played 15 minutes and scored four points) and did not show up to a few practices, according to WP SportoweFakty. Therefore, MKS Dabrowa Gornicza announced Davis was suspended for “unprofessional behavior”. In the same announcement, the club claims it has not breached the contract terms that were negotiated with Davis.
“The club told us we’ll get the money in January,” Bartłomiej Wołoszyn, the captain of MKS Dabrowa Gornicza, said.
