Toronto Raptors, Indiana Pacers in talks for Pascal Siakam

The Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers are actively pursuing a trade that would see two-time All-Star Pascal Siakam move to Indianapolis.

The proposal includes Bruce Brown Jr., other salary and three first-round draft picks, according to league sources telling The Athletic.

Discussions between the Raptors and Pacers have intensified in recent days, with several proposals. Although negotiations are advanced, a final agreement has not yet been reached or agreed upon.

The Sacramento Kings, another potential buyer for Siakam, have withdrawn from discussions in recent weeks.

Siakam, who is in the final year of his $38 million contract, has some decision-making power on his destination, as interested teams would like to know if he is interested in renewing his contract as a free agent, considering the assets needed for the trade.

Should the Raptors decide not to trade Siakam before the 8 February deadline, a contract extension remains a possible solution, allowing them to review the situation this summer.

Brown is the Pacers’ highest-paid player this season, earning $22 million, and has a team option on his contract for next season at $23 million.
