Tony Parker: I trust my instincts, I think TJ is ready
Parker and Fauthoux signed for the next three seasons
ASVEL President Tony Parker confirmed to l’Equipe that his brother TJ Parker will be the head coach of the team, and that former Levallois Metropolitans coach Frederic Fauthoux will be the assistant-coach.
“The head coach will be TJ Parker, he will be the boss, and the assistant will be Freddy Fauthoux. I think it’s the right time for TJ, he learned well for eight years. It’s the right timing. I’m not really surprised. I had already said that it would be him and that we were preparing him for that. I trust my instincts and I think TJ is ready. We talked about it a lot in I talked about the club with the team leaders, be it Charles Kahudi and Antoine Diot. I feel very comfortable with this decision. At some point, you have to give it a chance and I think it “is the right person to continue to carry all the projects that we have for this club. It is a great turning point in his career.”
