Khimki Moscow Region is trying to bring Timofey Mozgov back to Russia and the agreement between the two sides could be reached as early as next week, a source told Sportando.
The Russian big man has been waived by the Orlando Magic where he never played this past season due to a knee injury.
Orlando plans to stretch his $16.7 million contract ($5.6 million per season over the next three years).
Mozgov, who won an NBA title for the Cleveland Cavaliers, has played 454 games in the NBA averaging 6.7 points and 4.9 rebounds.
